Physalis: One Of The Rarest And Exotic Fruits Of The World With Lots Of Health Benefits
Physalis is a plant that belongs to the genus of flowering plants of the nightshade family, including the mantle of gooseberry and the Chinese lantern, which grow in warm and tropical regions.
It is characterized by a small orange fruit of size, shape, and structure similar to that of a small tomato, but partially or completely enclosed in a large envelope of paper derived from the glass.
They grow from 0.4 to 3 m in height as the common tomato but usually, have a stiffer vertical stem. Many of them require full sun and are rather hot or warm, can be annual or perennial and some are sensitive to frost, while others, like the lantern, tolerate the intense cold when sleeping in winter.
Only the selected types of physalis are edible. The fruit resembles a solid tomato texture and resembles pineapple or strawberries, with a slight acidity.
Gooseberries and tomatoes, some of their species, have been grown in many varieties with different tastes ranging from sweet pâté to spicy. The fruit of Physalis is rich in cryptoxanthin and pectin.
The fruit can be used as a tomato. It can be eaten raw and used in a salad once extracted from its shell. It can also be used as a pate, as an added flavor to desserts, dried and used as raisins and made into canned fruit.
In Chinese medicine, physalis is used as a remedy for a sore throat, fever, abscess, and cough.
Physalis health benefits
Physalis is a type of medicine that feeds cereals. Compared to lemons, its fruits contain twice as much vitamin C and appear as a red-blonde cherry tomato with a pleasant taste compared to tomato. Its trunk, leaves, roots, and fruits also provide recreation.

Influenza and laryngitis
Cut a Physalis plant (all parts) into approximately 3 to 4 cm pieces, dry and boil in about 9 to 15 grams of water. Cool, filter and drink the water. Do it up to 3 times a day.
